Police have been treated badly, but you should also mention it isn’t only society’s fault. Much of it has been self-imposed.
Though some of it is self-imposed, the public's and media's reaction to police behavior is often based on false narratives.
Well, no argument there. But, again, the police are not total innocents in this.
