Our big National Police Week event, where we lobby members of Congress urging support of key federal bills, begins in two weeks.
Here’s my conundrum:
In order for the event to be a success, we need to get the word out in big numbers. That means for the next two weeks leading up to the event, I’ll be posting on here a lot. By doing this, I run the risk of alienating people and losing subscribers. Few people, including me, enjoy having to wade through massive in-boxes. I get it.
Yet it’s a risk I’m willing to take.
Because our success in getting key federal police bills passed this legislative session rests, in large part, in constituents contacting their lawmakers.
Even if just 10% of you reading this message were to contact your legislators and share information about this event, we’d be way ahead.
Getting people to take action on any issue -especially when it comes to contacting their lawmakers- has always been a huge challenge.
Maybe you’re thinking some of the following?
Why put in the effort? The bills won’t pass anyway. Nobody’s listening. Nothing will change. Washington is corrupt.
While I understand the thought process, I also know that embracing a defeatist attitude is a losing proposition from the start. I’ve witnessed, first-hand, on more than one occasion, how small collectives have been able to convince decision makers (by being tenacious and simply using facts) to vote accordingly.

I also know that at this specific point in time, we have the momentum, and that if even a few of you take the time to make a phone call, send an email, or share our flyer, we have a snowball’s chance of getting these critical bills passed.
We, the people just need to give members of Congress a nudge, to tell them that police and public safety is a top priority. This is our right as Americans.
Time is of the essence here, and I can’t stress this enough. Policing is still on life support in many places, sorry to say. And who knows what the mid-terms will bring?
Several of the bills we’re lobbying for during National Police Week -like the Qualified Immunity Act of 2025 and the Police Officer Self-Defense Protection Act- have the potential to mark a turning point in policing.
Several of the bills we’re lobbying for have the potential to mark a turning point in policing!
The Qualified Immunity Act of 2025, for example, would codify QI protections (that the U.S. Supreme Court has recognized and upheld since 1967) into law. This is critical, because without guaranteed QI protections, nobody will want to be a cop or take risks. There have been attempts at both the federal and state levels to limit, or even eradicate, QI protections for police officers.

Essentially, without law enforcement agencies fully staffed with police officers who uphold our Constitution with integrity, we don’t have a country. This statement is true, regardless of what those with luxury beliefs may tell you.
Everybody learns differently, which is why we’re using a variety of methods to promote this event. One of our dedicated Stand with Blue coalition members (Henry Morris, founder of Support Our Shields) is creating two videos specifically for this event. His work is professional grade, and I can’t wait to share them with you.
So please expect to receive a higher number of posts from this account in the next two weeks. Because this is too important, and I don’t want to wake up after the fact with regrets, knowing that we could have done more for law enforcement.

For the Blue is a solutions-based initiative. I’m just an American patriot asking questions. I don’t work with any political party and I answer to nobody. For me, the health of the nation, due process (including for police officers), the rule of law, and respect for individual liberties, will always transcend party affiliation. I welcome your thoughts, even if you disagree; though personal attacks will be ignored. You can reach me at fortheblue@substack.com.
